Billionaire Betrayal Chapter 1
Wedding Night Disaster
The moonlight slipped through the half-open curtains of the hotel suite, painting silver streaks across the marble floor.
I woke slowly, my head throbbing from champagne and excitement.
Tonight I had married Andrew Daniels.
The Andrew Daniels.
The youngest billionaire in Nevada.
The man every woman in the casino stared at.
And now he was my husband.
My heart fluttered at the memory of the tiny wedding chapel and the neon lights outside.
We barely knew each other.
But the way he looked at me earlier made me feel like the only woman alive.
I turned toward him.
Andrew lay beside me, one arm beneath his head, his dark hair slightly messy.
He looked peaceful.
Dangerously handsome.
I touched his shoulder softly.
“Andrew…”
His eyes opened instantly.
Cold.
Sharp.
Not the warm eyes from the chapel.
Something in his expression made my stomach twist.
He stared at me for a long moment.
Then he spoke.
“I didn’t expect you to actually go through with it.”
My smile faded.
“What do you mean?”
Andrew slowly sat up.
Then he reached beneath the pillow and pulled out an envelope.
My heart began to pound.
He unfolded a document and held it toward me.
A police report.
With my name on it.
“I married you,” he said quietly, “to destroy your family.”
My world stopped.
